Al Gore coming to Our Planet

The countdown for the world-class sustainability forum, OUR PLANET - LEAVING A LEGACY has commenced.

With only a few weeks left until left until Friday 21 September, momentum is building.

GHD invites you to attend and collaborate with leaders of industry and Government, and workshop solutions to help improve quality of life while reducing the impacts of human activities on the world.

OUR PLANET is a one-day forum featuring five technical sessions (see topics below), a networking session and a spectacular gala-dinner.

  • Biodiversity – Reducing the pressure on our ecosystems.
  • Integration is the key – Sustainable transport solutions.
  • Alternative Energy Sources – What does the future hold?
  • Preserving our most precious resource – Water.
  • Sustainability – from global trend to strategy and beyond to implementation.
In addition to the technical sessions, we will also present a Special Segment on Sustainable Built Environments and unveil GHD’s carbon neutral concept building of the future, ZERO.

The stellar line-up of speakers includes, but is not limited to:

  • The Hon Al Gore, 45th Vice President of the United States, Author, Environmentalist and Chairman of Generation Investment Management
  • Dr Shi Zhengrong, Scientist, Entrepreneur and Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the billion-dollar solar empire, Suntech Power

  • The Hon Peter Garrett AM MP, Shadow Minister for Climate Change, Environment, Heritage and the Arts
The Master of Ceremonies will be George Negus, international Journalist and Author, and the Moderator will be Jenny Brockie, multi-award winning Journalist, Documentary Maker and Presenter of SBS current affairs program, ‘Insight’.

Targeted at Federal, State and Local Governments, private enterprise, infrastructure owners and operators, the professions, financiers, academia and research institutes, OUR PLANET is about demonstrating leadership, harnessing innovation and fostering a sustainable economy that serves society as a whole.
