The Big Picture Seminar is holding a presentation by Dr Richard Caro, Chief Executive Officer, Tangible Future Inc., on Entrepreneurship 3.0: More Success? Less Risk? Dr Caro received his B.Sc. (Hons.) degree from the University of Melbourne and a D.Phil. in experimental physics at Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. Before entering industry, Richard was a member of the research staff at Stanford University. Richard has held operational roles in high tech companies in Silicon Valley and Boston. At Tangible Future, Richard works with managers and entrepreneurs create and grow businesses based on innovative science and technology.
Throughout his career, Richard has seen a fundamental change in the way new businesses are created and financed and entrepreneurship is practiced. In this talk, Richard will describe the ways collective action can be/will be/is being applied to business creation, distinct from the traditional view based on an activity for a small team of individuals in isolation. The presentation will be held on Thursday, 19 August at the University of Melbourne, commencing at 4 pm, with finger food and refreshments to follow.
