Event Description
The Newcastle Lake Macquarie Career & Training Expo is an annual event (managed by Career Links) which connects young people to career options, enabling them to make informed decisions about their future. The Career & Training Expo is the largest event of its kind in the region and attracts over 100 exhibitors including employers, education and training providers, and career support services from the local area and across Australia.

In response to feedback from parents, community members and our valued exhibitors, Career Links are excited to be able to introduce a Saturday event in 2012. This additional day will allow students to re-visit the expo with their parents (free entry for returning students) in addition to providing access to this unique event for job seekers and members of the general public. A series of information sessions will also be conducted throughout the Saturday which all visitors are welcome to attend as part of their entry fee.

The Newcastle Lake Macquarie Career & Training Expo provides employer groups with an opportunity to work towards reducing skill shortages in their industry by providing them with a platform to promote the diverse and exciting careers which are available. The event also allows exhibitors to raise awareness within our community about the prospects for employment and to highlight the importance of education and training.
