John Symond, Founder and Executive Chairman of Aussie
Home Loans, is widely credited with bringing competition
to the Australian home lending industry. Aussie was
established in 1992 and a whole new non bank industry
followed.

Recently the Australian Financial Review conducted an
online poll, asking readers who they thought were the ten
most influential business, economic and political leaders of
the past 60 years. John was included with Kerry Packer,
Rupert Murdoch together with 5 former Prime Ministers.
